I like to think of myself as a very logical individual.
I also like to try and think things through for myself, before involving others, but right now, I have a problem that I am unable to solve/reason etc.
Without fail, everything that happens in life starts out as a whim/idea, or given the proper name, a "cause".
Each cause, if carried through, creates effect(s).
The first human "cause" imo, was self-preservation. This spawned several effects, one of which was "finding sustenance".
Another, and probably the most influential to humans, was to overcome "fear of death i.e. The unknown". One effect, resulted in the birth of religion.
Now here is where I start to become unglued as it were.
Not all "cause and effect" scenarios are forever. Unlike the first one above, most have self imposed limits, either from satisfying egos or from necessity.
Below is the link to a column from Ed Steer's post today, and it relates to something that really baffles me. "A one world order".
Personally, I like the idea of individual freedom. It creates, amongst other things, progressive creativity, freethinking, innovativeness etc, as opposed to the stagnant socialistic regimented alternative.
If these things are bad, why allow them to progress to where they are today, and why now introduce a system that would, for all intense and purposes, suppress this creativity, etc?

Now my problem. If the cause is "A one world order", who does it benefit (timeframe needs to be addressed)? If the answer is "The elites", there must be a "DOGMA" entrenched somewhere within these elitists, yet in this day and age of improved widespread communication and change, this DOGMA is more secretive than that of The Catholic Church. (The Bilderberg Society was born in the 1950's, long after a "One world order" was conceived). As we know, as societies come and go, even religions become subject to changes, yet this idea of a "one world order" seems to follow a constant belief and that is, that it represents a fundamental threat to the majority. Also, not all generations believe as previous generations., so what is so convincing to some, of the necessity of "A one world order?" Good Luck to all! From Global Depression to Global Governance
