Wouldn't the larger gravitational forces be generated at "new" moon, rather than full moon? During a new moon, both the sun and the moon pull on us in a united fashion, both being on the same side of the earth. In a full moon, they oppose each other, thereby each partially canceling the other's effect. My guess is that tides would be greater during new moon, than full; haven't looked this up, but that's my memory from high school science.
Whether it's the G-20 meeting or whatever else, silver and gold seem to be doing well right now, could lift off be a little early?
