I was not referring to anyone in particular and I don't agree that absolutely anything goes as when it comes to slander and libel and hate literature and deliberate attempt to smear or mislead. The biggest responsibility of all when it comes to freedom of speach is the responsibility of protecting truth versus ouright deliberate lies and deception. I don't think it's too much to ask for everyone who posts here, including myself, to exercise some judgement and show respect for others by attempting to adhere to a higher standard than the slush on the internet which can and does provide many slimball, scumbags with their moment of fame where they would never have had such in the past.

The internet and communication has provided immense benefits but it can come with a price when those seeking their moment of fame get broad based publicity for their defammatory, slander or libellous agendas. The other side of the internet is stuff doesn't go away and old stuff can be used again and again to try and work the agenda, just like now.
