I think what we're talking about is prossiably a few instances of daytrading by one group (7000k shares?) versus manipulation which is more likely to come in high volume - either short sales of shares or underlying instruments. Is there active options trading in ECU ? where?
I'm afraid there's no way of stopping anyone selling into flat tradingvolume, it's always best to buy at the end of the day.
Over the border, shorting shares which are going to be acquired in financing is illegal (see my post about CDE).
ECU should be appearing in lists of companies where outstanding short positions are outside legal parameters (forgot the term- but it's out there on the web).
I think company stock dilution is creating the problem ..and that's where people need to put in some effort - see my post a day or two ago
