Ethanol

In addition to Trader Dans post

Natural gas is pumped and compressed via pipelines to chemical plant and then is used in vast quanities to produce ammonia (NH3)

Ammonia is the main fertilizer for CORN

Corn is grown to produce ethanol

ethanol is then used to fuel our vehicles

Any wonder why governments have to subsidize farmers???
