This may have an impact on the share shorts as a new high (if this holds over 500...and indeed counts as a high), will cause shorts to start covering. It should be clear, or is becoming so, that the old highs cannot stand.

A run to cover may start soon if these levels hold for a couple of days.

According to Dan at Jsmineset, 200 is the number for the XAU (which includes silver shares). We shall have to watch that one.
