Cockerel - we probably agree because of similar childhood. I did the bible studies on Saturdays and church until 17.

When I was 18-20 I read Issacc Asimov's guide to the bible...WOW! What an eye opener.

I began to realize that our so-called GOD was always on the side of the "good king"...and the "good King" was "good" because he killed anyone who ever said he wasn't!

Now I'm more the smiling Buddha.

Interesting how two people can read the same words and one sees evil while another sees good... must be some pre-conception thing going on there!
