Yeah, but the CAD while strong amongst MOST of its peers is still not stronger than CHF. So you'll potentially not see outperformance of CAD against the Swiss while you will see it against the other ones such as USD/Pound/Yen....etc....

CAD is strong, however the loss you just incurred was due a spike in CHF accentuated in USD recently due to fundamentals of a strong Swiss economy and a the fundamentals of a weaker USD. May have been a one time thing and it is possible that it may equalize back down a bit in the short term future...but that's just a guess.

What I would do is borrow some money and buy gold and silver to hedge the currency risk. Keep it safe.
