One thing to add: The Marshall Plan, in 1947/48 which "bailed out" western Europe focused on PRODUCTION, as opposed to today's bailouts which are for fat-cat bankers, who need no bailing.

The politicians of the post WWII era appear not to have been mere lackeys of the elite of that time. In fact, many of the elite of that era also helped push the plan through...of course it was that, or Stalin..LOL
