I am in GATA's camp and a big Bill Murphy fan but was rather disappointed in his overall performance throughout this debate. He came across as whiney, defensive and dismissive. Perhaps Chris Powell should have led the charge for GATA in this forum.

Murphy obviously thinks Christian is a nitwit, and while that may be (is?) true, Murphy didn't seem to be able to capitalize and persuasively/effectively demonstrate the merits of GATA's claims. At one point, Murphy asked Puplava if they could please move on because the particular topic was "boring" - humorous? yes; effective debating tactic? not so much.

Those of us who are informed know that GATA has it right in terms of substance, but as much as it pains me to say it, I think an uninformed but independent and objective listener would have given Christian the decision on this particular debate.

Just my honest assessment.
