Thank goodness for Bill Murphy and the team at GATA. Without GATA's constant harping over the past 10 plus years, I doubt any of this stuff breaking recently would have ever seen the light of day.

I think Scruffy's mention of The Maguire pattern is a good name for what has been occurring since the CFTC meeting and with today's news of the massive fraud of gold certificates and no gold in the vaults, the speed of the unraveling may just accelerate.

My main fear is not price explosion but what the fed and the cartel will do if they lose price control completely. I wouldn't be surprised to see them play the national security card if they have to shut things down, then implement ways to get the gold/silver now in our hands into theirs, national the mines, put in excess profit taxes and the like. The president already has the power to do much of that.

I just can't see them sitting on their hands while the gold/silver price skyrockets and the dollar tanks. I don't doubt for a second that they have a Plan B ready in the wings.
