David Bensimon prediction

Msg from a poster from another board:

Look up a fellow by the name of David Bensimon. He has had impeccable timing with regards to gold for the last ten or so years.

He doesn't play with stocks though. He plays with gold futures and the like. He is hanging on to all his physical gold until the end of this current broader run.

In his latest presentation that I saw (January) he had predicted this current bout of weakness in gold and expected it to bounce from recent lows this year and then retrace again close to 1000. We may yet do that with this Euro weakness. After that it will be off to the races. Same with silver. We are in a broad up channel for precious metals as depicted by his charts.

Projections for silver are $29 from the low of $15 followed by a move to $44 by 2012. The move in gold will be similar and precious metals will top out by 2014. That wil be the end of what he calls an "inflationary prosperity" that we will experience. Prosperous of course to some but not all no doubt.

After that time frame he gives a two year correction window to 2016 and then we move into more of a crisis driven period for gold when it diverges from equities. Perhaps by then the doomsayers will be right.

He has had projections for the TSX to surpass 20,000 in the next three or so years. This to me is starting to make sense the way the global recovery has been going and could surprise a lot of the bears in a very big way.

The last ten years for stocks was one of the worst ten year time frames if not the worst in the last 100 years as stated by Martin Murenbeeld. The next ten years can be expected to be much better. Gold in fact is predicted by Bensimon to lag a lot of the other metals and even oil. Silver is his favourite.
