Sorry to read about your "retreat" DONTCRY. That must have been a real zinger that someone sent you privately.

I have owned ECU for several years along with some other junior miners and it has been, as they say, a real learning experience with very expensive tuition. While the internet and all of out instant communications are positive in some senses they also act, in my opinion, to overload us with opinions and speculation we could probably do without.

I have been in the market for about 50 years so I hark back to the days when the TSE listings filled less than a half newspaper page and were dominated by small resource companies, mostly miners. News items were most often rumours from the field and current financial or operating information came from quarterly and annual reports. You had to phone or write to get them direct from the company. Today we are flooded with information about a company like ECU and with the resulting analyses by "experts" like the one we are talking about today. My recollection of the "olden days" is that a company's stock price was most often a reflection of its true worth as determined by investors' willingness to put up their money. That often doesn't seem to be true today.

The market, to me, often feels like I am in Vegas gambling in a casino that I know is owned by some very shady characters. I'm not happy about that but its the only game in town and I still have hopes that true value will be recognized and rewarded. I like the joke about the guy on his way to the race track who said "I hope I break even because I need the money."
