Re: Markets today...skewed and screwed

Golden Minerals is a junior silver producer with a strong growth profile, listed on both the NYSE Amex and TSX.
I don't know who or what is selling or shorting under PI symbol but they again today had 100,000 share sell placed at .66 cents and Scotia also had some sizable stratgeig sells placed. This is capping any momentum upward and forcing selling under these caps by TD and Anonymous and Scotia the only sellers of note. We have seen Scotia trade ECU lots in the past as they are the old Etrade house and TD has been the most active of all so they are also likely the Anonymous seller as well. I also note that Jitney and TD made an effort to insure that ECU closed at the low of the day at .64 cents where little stock was traded all day. These little trader tactics mean nothing in the bigger picture even though they are frustrating.
HUI and silver did not look great today and many silver stories were suspect like MAG, EDR, SLW, SVM, EXN, GPR, IPT and mnay others along with lots of decent gold stories were weak. Could be taking a rest as this is still jobs week, before breaking out bigtime.
It's not normal for a stock to open at .66 cents and have a daily traded average price of .65 cents and then close at .64 cents in an up market unless something nefarious is going on like most precious metals stocks today seem to confirm. It seems the buyers are just biding their time and taking what the manipulators are giving for the time being but I suspect this game is about up shortly.
Here are all the house positions for : ECU for 2/2/2010. |
