Heard on the radio today (Charles Adler) that some of our Olympic Athletes have signed a letter advocating the importance of climate change and how everyone needs to be aware and combat the emitting of CO2.

Suggest this now, is becoming a very serious issue and demands attention from everyone.

Here are some of the steps I aim to take as part of my personal contribution to the problem.

I will not donate any monies to support Olympic athletes, and I will lobby the Canadian government to do same. If we can succeed in getting the Olympics banned, think of all the monies that can be saved; all the travel that will become un-necessary; and all the waste of space for constructing new facilities.

I will not buy tickets to any major sporting event. If everyone follows suit, we can stop the travel to all major sports games: Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Hockey, Golf etc.

I will not buy tickets to any movie theatre. If we can stop the need for movies, we can save lots of money on these prima-donnas, travelling to exotic places etc.

I will not buy tickets to hear anyone give lectures. Think of the plane trips and limos used by the likes of Al Gore, David Suzuki etc.

I will research all companies that manufacture non-essentials and refuse to buy any of their merchandise. Why contribute to un-necessary shipping, operating power etc.

I will also lobby all my family members, my friends and work associates to do the same.
