It is short covering by the crimex criminals. They are trapped and there is no way out without either letting the metals and shares rise or default. They don't want to default while they can still have control over the markets. So they are trying to exit so that they can create a rear guard position that will allow them to stay in business and live to screw us another day at higher prices.
