Something to consider.
In the late 70's - 1980, junk silver coins (pre 65 US dines, quarters, halves) developed a huge premium to their silver content. A lot of the coins were melted after silver fell back, so the bags are a bit harder to get now. But today the premium of junk coins vs silver content is very low.
You get the silver. The medium is the best if TSHTF because everyone recognizes them and there is never an assay cost for selling. And the possibility of a premium developing is good as we move forward. Last, you just can't spend a 10 or 100 oz bar of silver.
It is good to have some junk silver in the mix of physical holdings.
