The reason that news regarding canadian companies is not disseminated in the states is due to US regulations and the quickness to sue by individuals in Us even if the cause is their own short sightedness or negligence. It is not due to Canadians not wanting to inform Americans.
If you have a problem with that then lobby your congress.

As for ECU appreciating in share price, that is all in the market's hands. The company is as much a victim as you and I. The fundamentals are there but, as with many other of my stock holds, the share prices are slow to react or not reacting in relation to the price of their metals.
For That I do not blame the companies in whom I hold shares but the general market forces which are mainly the result of shinanigans going on in Washington.

In short, do not blame us Canadians, look closer to home ( I presume you are in the States).
