It is strange to me that just before the Iraq war Sadam H. set in place the abiliby to receive Euro and Yen as payment for Iraqi oil. Didn't get much media play then, but I think Sadam got the message. The US is in a much more precarious position now and cannot respond with anything but talk and "financial" weapons. The weapons that have alienated most of the rest of the globe.

I doubt that the main stream media in the US will give this story, or the action itself, any intellegent discussion. It is the logical next step in removing the heavy handed bullying by the Wall Street of global financial activities.

When this (oil priced in other than US $s) comes to pass, (and most assuredly it will at some point in the future) it will be very painful for the average US citizen. Holding physical PMs will be one of the few ways to protect one's self. Please read the latest Road to Roota article "The Big Silver Slingshot" to get an idea about the post $ US.
