Wow... couldn't disagree more. Sorry but look at how many people live in Canada, look at their financial books and then look at the amount of resources available to them. Canadian financial institutions (despite being so close to the temptation of the market to the south) came out largely unscathed from the credit crisis. Think oil sands, oil shale, diamonds, water, timber, metals etc. etc. all sitting there for the same population as California... sorry disagree. Add into this the fact that Canada is now starting to sign independent free trade agreements with European countries & staking it's claim on the arctic seabed...

I actually think the Canadian dollar should be far higher than the US dollar if looked at objectively, but the Canadian government plays this down in order to benefit export.
