Morning, Sketch,
I think there are a few ways the fed could get its way, one being to convince the judge on the merits to reverse her decision. Another would be to pressure receptive members of Congress to strong arm the judge and Bloomberg to reconsider. The other way as a last resort, at least to me, is to get the administration to invoke the national security bit and shut the case down.
If Bush/Cheney were still in power, I have no doubt they would use it in a second, if they thought it necessary. I suspect Obama and team would do the same, if that's what the fed demanded.
That Barney Frank clip, though, was very encouraging, and it looks like Ron Paul's fed audit is going to become a reality. Too bad they can't do it now, since the fed has until Oct. to figure out how to squash it or derail it. And my bet is that's what they're doing right now.
In any event, I'm always pleasantly surprised to see something positive in the news instead of the unending drum beat of disaster lurking around every corner.
Off to the museum with the Mrs. and to look at some art.
