Score card for 2009:

ECU Down 50%

CDNX Up 50%

So Moose Pasture is up 50% this year while ECU is down by the same percentage despite becoming a producer - and potentially a profitable one in the very near future. Huh? This does not compute Spock. At the very least logic dictates ECU should have outperformed CDNX and not the opposite so what's going on here?

Hedge Funds are definitely a prime suspect with ECU trading at highly-liquid volumes. What seems to be going on here is a classic spread play that can be summed up as "Short ECU and go long the CDNX." Plain and simple. Well-heeled hedgies can play games with one stock but not the whole CDNX, so ECU simply became a classic target of the usual gang of sociopaths. A Technical Forensic would instantly recognize the weekly ECU chart for the masterful work of art that it is, painted with the same carefully contrived brushstrokes not unlike a much sought after Picasso. The game is on but the referees (OSC etc) are catering to their club members by looking the other way as is par for the course.

It ain't a coincidence that large spikes in volume are always met with equally aggressive sellers. This is all part of the plan to keep the ECU spread play going as the slimy buggers put the thumb down to take on all bidders, with clear intention to keep the SP from rising above the key weekly EMA(7.) This resistance has to be held at all costs or the downtrend will simply end the spread play as other astute technicians pile back onto the buy side when these key indicators are overcome with sustained price and volume. In fact the dirtbags were very close to losing control of the spread play in early June.

Three months ago in the first week of June, mid-week I posted a piece on this forum about how these Hedgies appeared to have lost control with renewed technical buyers coming onto the long side. ECU SP was finally on a tear with volumes and price rising like a rocket up and out of weekly ema(7) resistance..... & the ema(7) above ema(14)......when out of the blue, the scumbags sold everything but the kitchen sink to keep the spread play going for a while longer. I could go on with other examples but the weekly chart speaks volumes by itself. Find out who squashed ECU that week and you have fingered the bums...... so to speak. Dexter Morgan would love to book a few months leave to deal out his brand of justice to the few sociopath scumbags that are ruining the lives of many smaller investors.
