VHF, I assure you that most of the market moves of the last two weeks were absolutely surprising to me, some of the surprise based on many of the facts and circumstances that you vigilantly bring to our attention on a regular basis.

Rather than chalk things up to manipulation, however, I tend to think I'm just wrong in my attempts to prognosticate the market. I have also noticed over the many years I've been involved in the market, the more sure I am about the direction of the market on any given day, the higher the likelihood that I'm dead wrong about it. For that reason, I have plenty of evidence to support my theory that I'm wrong, rather than markets are being manipulated just to frustrate me.

Relative to individual stocks, my history isn't quite so pathetic (though noting to brag about, either). And ECU has fallen into a pattern, it seems, that has lasted a very long time, so from day to day, it is not so difficult to predict. Most days, it doesn't do much, many days it disappoints, and very few days does it make us feel like we've been right all along. My expectations have been tempered on a day to day basis, so I don't feel the frustration with this one as do some. It also has to do with how many other stocks one might be invested in. If this were my only one, I might well be chewing on cardboard by now!

Did you guys see the catch in the 9th inning that preserved that perfect game yesterday? Now, that was something.
