Bujjai, I think you are taking the crackpot label too seriously and or literally.
I think Mooseslayer meant it in the nicest way as I do, often using the term with a dose of sarcasm. Emotion is difficult to cary over in textual medium. To me he IS a cracked pot because he is going against the common grain of thought and in a fairly zealous way, if I may say so.
