And don't forget this one that's far from resolved. Goes something like this:
The British navy sunk a Spanish naval vessel in 1804 in the Atlantic. The ship carried $500 million in gold and silver coins. A Florida treasure-hunting company finds it last year, I think. The treasure company says the treasure belongs to them. Spain says it's theirs and sued to get it. A Florida court says it belongs to Spain and they should have it. Treasure company claims treasure finding salvage rights and claims Florida court has no jurisdiction. However, the gold was taken by the Spanish from Peru and now Peru says it's theirs. Spain says Peru wasn't really Peru back in 1804 so it can't be theirs. So far we haven't heard from the Brits who sunk the ship in the first place. Isn't it's theirs? Stay tuned.
