It would last at least an hour and probably two.

Then whoever attends will surely hob nob over a brewsky or tow.

So make that at least three hours so far, i.e. 18;30.

Then he has to drive home in not too sober a state, or take a taxi.

Finally rush to the computer and his anxious pals at the ECU site, while ignoring the wife, two children, the dog and what else - because of tell tale odours on his breath.

Last but not least, it takes time to write it all down. Make it now 20:30 or so.
