A view of the gold bull

By sitting bull @ the kbx board.

W.D. Gann spoke of markets and stocks having personalities, and how investors had to get to know them personally. You don't get to know a person by analysiing their statistics, but by talking with them, sharing time with them, taking walks with them. Then you can start to get a grasp on their personality.

For those of you who have been getting to know or watching these markets, you will have perhaps noticed a significant difference in the ways they are behaving. Look at gold, for example, manipulated, most likely, what market since the beginning of time has not been manipulated?, but getting much, much stronger.

Yesterday, I had the sense that the forces going against gold did everything they could to smack it down. Like a disease now laughing at the antibiotics that used to knock it flat, gold is laughing at those antibiotics. The hits it is taking are much, much less damaging now than they were even a few months ago. And look at the Dow. The last time I saw action like this was in 2000 on the NASDAQ, anemic rises that are unsustainable. Sounds and Fury but signifying nothing. If you look at the Dow and you have ever watched an injured animal die, you will recognize that you are seeing the same thing. Moments of strength as the fear of death comes back to the forefront of the animal's consciousness, then weakness again, then strength again, then weakness. Each time the sounds of strength get weaker and weaker until they become almost insane sounds to the animal, but are enough to give hope to the supporters of the animal, hoping as always against hope that it will revive, rise up and fight again.

Like the other rooster in the fight, the soon to be victor, gold, gets only stronger as the opponent gets weaker. It takes less and less energy to deal damaging blows. Perhaps not the greatest analogy, but one to think about. Because the defeated rooster will die and the victorious will rest and heal and only get stronger. Bull
