there is some confusion about otto and clavis. otto is a blogger who writes mostly about mining stocks. i believe he lives in argentina, but he covers all of latin america. if you google "inca kola news" you can find his blog. otto first got a lot of notice during the aurelian/kinross takeover. back then he provided a lot of insight into the local affairs of ecuador.

however, what otto says is just his opinion, and he can be wrong as often as he is right. that in itself isn't so bad because all of us have made some bad calls in this sector, especially in the past couple of years. but otto gets the big stuff wrong, too. he thinks we're in a bear market for commodities, he expected the us dollar to stay strong, that copper would continue to decline, that silver is a base metal, that ecuador would not default on its bonds, and on and on.

from time to time he bashes a stock, like ecu or mag silver or novagold, and many more. he refers to anyone who disagrees with him as a dumbass, and has trashed jim sinclair, doug casey, david morgan, peter schiff, ambrose evans-pritchard, and many more that i can't remember. so it's not as though otto is planning something sinister for ecu. when he bashes a company, that's just otto being otto.

clavis posts all over agoracom, almost all of which are news releases in hubs where he may think the information would be appropriate. again, i don't see anything sinister there. so if you don't want to hear otto's ranting about ecu, just ask him not to post here. anyone who wants to read otto's blog can find it easily enough. think of it as the national enquirer or some other form of yellow journalism. some of it is entertaining, some of it is rubbish.
