When will governments (politicians) realize that the only people that can fix the world's financial problems, is the marketplace.

Governments have no money. It belongs to average joe, who entrust it to government.

To give away average joe's money to others (banks etc.) only makes average joe poorer, thus making sure that his/her lack of confidence will last longer and make any recovery even longer to take place.
