SDR With the planned IMF sale of 400 tons of gold again on the agenda, the backing of the SDR and with that the SDR credibility vs gold as a currency takes a serious hit. Still to be approved by congress.

The IMF gold holdings are most likely double counted with the USA and other countries who made the supply available initially.

The USA should be against if they can as it transfers control out of their reach and undermine the dollar.

The SDR based on a basket of currencies with weightings and maybe gold would float against all currencies.
