I see the gold stocks are starting to turn red, even while gold is still slightly positive, after having been higher.

The usual signal that the Cartel is about to hit gold is the gold stocks taking the hit first. I would expect that after the cash gold market closes in London very shortly, the gold price should get creamed.

Gold can not be allowed to be at a price that allows Call options to close in-the-money.
