But we have a world currency that is independent to a degree from any other currency.
That is precious metal Bullion. Look upon gold as a 100$ bill and silver as 5$. How about palladium as a 20$ bill?
Even if some do not want the US $ as a standard, they do not want the metals to be either because they can not print metal as they do paper and no matter what the currency it is, it has to be manipulatible.
That is the basic point of a 'world Currency', plenty of it, liquid and manageable.
