A total of 25 million common share purchase warrants of ECU Silver Mining Inc. will be listed and posted for trading at the opening on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, under the following trading information:

Designated market-maker: Canaccord Capital Corp.

Other markets: None

The warrants were issued upon exchange, for no additional consideration, of ECU subscription receipts. Each receipt was exchanged for one ECU common share and one warrant on closing of the acquisition by ECU on March 6, 2009, of a gold-and-silver-recovery property from Hecla Mining Company plant located in Velardea, Mexico. A total of 25 million receipts were sold at 70 cents per receipt pursuant to the terms of a short form prospectus dated Feb. 12, 2009. Each whole warrant entitles the holder to purchase one common share at a price of 95 cents per share at any time on or before 5 p.m. (Toronto time) on Feb. 20, 2014.

The warrants are governed by the terms of a warrant indenture between the ECU and Computershare Trust Company of Canada dated Feb. 20, 2009. The warrant indenture provides for appropriate adjustments to the warrants in the event of stock dividends, subdivisions, consolidations and other forms of capital reorganization.
