They had to immediately put this out this afternoon as there was a story on Bloomberg eariler in the day that VM was quoted as saying that the IMF was unlikely to sell any of their gold now. You can imagine the Cartel tripping over themselves to grab the IMF Director's red phone hotline to demand the IMF refute the earlier story and any suggestion that the IMF won't sell any gold.

Of course we all know that any gold the IMF may still have had been leased out long ago. That's why they threaten to sell gold every year but never seem to be able to find any to sell.
