What you are buying in the offering is 1 share of ECU plus a share purchase warrant for $0.70.

This $0.95 figure you have is not an option price to buy warrants. The $0.95 is the exercise price of the warrant at any time over the next 5 years (a long time for a warrant).

i.e if the ECU share price is $5, you can tell the company, OK, I will exercise the warrant at $0.95 in exchange for an ECU common share at $5. Thank you, ECU.

The warrants and the shares will separate once this subscription is complete, and the warrants will trade on their own, with the share price dependant on the price of the common stock.

So, you buy 1000 units at $0.70, for $700. You get 1000 shares and 1000 warrants, the share price goes to $5, the warrants, with no premium, are worth ($5 - $0.95) = $4.05. Total value = $9050 for the 1000 shares + 1000 warrants.

If you bought 1000 shares at $0.58 for $580, and the price goes to $5, the 1000 shares are worth $5000.

Does this make sense?

Cheers.
