Good thing Obama picked the cream of the crop otherwise we would have seen some real scammers...

Tax Cheat #3
Rolfe Winkler
February 3, 2009
First it was Bill Richardson, then Tim Geithner, then Tom Daschle and now Nancy Killefer:
Nancy Killefer, who failed for a year and a half to pay employment taxes on household help, withdrew her candidacy to be the first chief performance officer for the federal government on Tuesday.
Killefer was the second major Obama administration nominee to withdraw and the third to have tax problems complicate nominations after President Barack Obama announced he had chosen them.
If Geithner and Daschle kept the support of the administration, even though they owed $50k and $150k in back taxes respectively, surely Killefer—who doesn’t have similar support—must owe substantially more…
…in 2005 the District of Columbia government had filed a $946.69 tax lien on her home for failure to pay unemployment compensation tax on household help…
That sum included $298 in unpaid taxes, $48.69 in interest and $600 in penalties.
So Killefer is the one that has to fall on the sword. That figures.
