About wine, vinegar and angels

posted on Jan 28, 2009 09:00AM

Some days are better than others. Yesterday the wine running through my veins suddenly turned into vinegar, when I read ECU's press release on the placement of shares at CAD 0.70. Ofcourse I know that ECU needs to generate its own revenue stream to finance its drilling programs and other costs in the future, but how bitter it is to give in to a Cartel which is allowed to illegally suppress the metal prices and mining share prices for a prolonged period of time, as such making an entire sector lame, while it could thrive, and allowing the same Cartel to cream off current and future profits that belong to the long term shareholders of these mining companies and not to these Mafia-type institutions.

In fact, whenever a thing like this happens, it seems like a war is lost, when it seemed to be one that could be won.

Today I decided to open another bottle of wine and look for positive news to be able to get through the next months in a positive fashion. And see, what I found.

The price of Gold closed for the third (or is it the fourth) day in a row above Jim Sinclairs third out of four Angels. After playing around that magic number of $887.50 it when above it in the last minutes of trade as if to say: You stay there, you have done your thing, I am going forward to look for another Angel in higher spheres.

Next Angel: $1650.
