For whatever it is worth, this (European) morning I was watching the first hour of CNBC's World Wide Exchange. Shortly after they broke off the press conference by Gordon Brown and Alister Darling on the latest measures by the UK Government to deal with the credit crunch, there was a short interview with two guests.
The first guest is a regular guest, Puru Saxena. He is a long term commodity bull and dollar bear and said he expected commodities other than gold to perform extremely well over the short term due to the inflationary printing of money across the globe. Silver would be one of the biggest beneficiaries. Good for us.
However, what the other, very serious, guest by the first name of Clive said was more intruiging. Roughly summarizing, he said that he was noticing very weird things in the capital market. It concerned huge international capital transfers by large money pools, which he had never seen in his life. He expected two big banks to hit the wall this week and told the audience to seek safe haven in Gold.
I'll try to see if I can find a recording of the short interview, because it went so fast, that I even don't know the full name of the person interviewed and may have gotten some of the details wrong.
What came to my mind immediately is what Midas told us about the Stalker expecting a mega move up in Gold as from this week. The mentioned interview would certainly add some additional information backing these expectations. We'll see what happens this week.
