My simplistic point was that anything can happen. The virus thing was just an example. We certainly do not have the resources of the exchange at my work but I have had servers go down when the redundant power supply failed as well as the first...chit happens. One would expect backups of the backup systems, but sometimes just getting them online takes time.

Mostly my point was that I doubt someone really wanted the TSX down yesterday and managed to coerce all the officials there to create this cover-up.
