The FED will use every tool necessary to kick-start the economy again, as they have proclaimed yesterday. They lowered interest rates to 0-0.25% and will buy up anything derivative paper that may form clogs in the engine.

For PIMCO's John McCulley this was enough to name Ben Bernanke as the Business Man of the year on today's CNBC's Squawk Box and ofcourse Abbey Cohen (GS) and Bob Dole (Black Rock) entirely agreed.

Now we have to ask ourselves, what "every tool" means in a free market economy. Whe know that every normal tool didn't work: the media have been on the side of the FED to create artificially confidence among the masses, the interest rate cannot go any lower and derivative positions cannot be stressed to the upside anymore to avoid unwanted consequences.

So we are now talking exceptional tools.

Exceptional tools may well be things that are new to most of us: like rigging trading computer systems on Exchanges, flawing statistics (even more)and forcing people to turn in physical gold and silver.

It is a matter of speculating what comes next, but it sure is frightening when our leaders are out of control and extend their power for that reason.
