Excellent post Applepieuk and I agree 100%, my strategy closely reflects this approach and I don't have to even attempt bottom calls which is a mugg's game in my view. I have a very large position in one emerging junior copper producer who has one mine in production now and another starting in a few weeks and doesn't need capital as it's earning money. This story has plans for at least 2 more mines in the future whoich will largely be self funded and I suspect they will end up a large mid-size producer for sure. This story reflects closely where ECU will go but they are of course ahead in development and also suffering the same fait at present with a ridiculously cheap share price as are all stocks in the resource sector.

BTW, one place they differ from ECU is that they still need to find or acquire resources to become a large mid-size producer whereas ECU already has the exploration success and discovery to make it a large mid-size producer of precious metals, only time and some creative financing is required like what Mooseslayer proposed at Chithouse today and I have mentioned in the past. It's as simple as a little forward selling of future production of silver or gold or it could be a minority strategic partner, or it could be self financed from production, I think numer 1 or 3 are most likely but time will tell. ECU has many options as would any company working to define one billion ounces of potential as outlined by world class engineering firm Micon, TD Bank and Blackmont. Of course excellent and shareholder friendly management gives ECU an edge.

When you have defined for sure 300 or 400 million ounces in this business in a friendly pro-mining setting like Mexico with already proven profitable mining production like ECU with concentrate sales, you will be a guaranteed winner!!!
