Would this also cover the share certificates of a non-Canadian e.g. Swiss whose ECU shares have been bought and held in custody in Canada?

I received the following statement from my broker Swissquote not sure whether I should still ask for obtaining the share certificates:

Dear Sir, We inform you herewith, that your positions are already in the Book Enties status on the nominees name.

Further to this please take note the following statement:

The depositor's position in relation to deposited securities is even more reassuring - Art. 37d Banking Act states that such securities do not fall within the scope of the bankruptcy and the customer has the right to recover them whenever he or she wishes."
