I noticed today that a big dealer in California has just listed all silver eagles and silver maple leafs as "NOT AVAILABLE."

I have a sneaky suspicion that the Treasury is going to call in all the gold bullion in the hands of Americans in the excess of $300. Maybe this why the dollar has been so strong lately.

Continuing to bail out failing institutions with more paper doesn't settle well with foreign holders. If this becomes reality, there will be strong demand for silver and the precious metals related companies.

I don't know how else to explain the growing weakness of gold and the strength of the dollar. The government is going to steal gold again from Americans at a low price that they are manipulating in markets today and then later mark it up for a huge profit for themselves. This most certainly would push the dollar higher.

History has a way of repeating itself. This could be the "biggest holdup of the 21st century."
