I believe many of us feel a similar burden. My one brother is so tight he can't look objectively at anything that involves much volatility. Thus, he is losing money every year to inflation and he just won't listen to my logic as to why. He absolutely thinks I am crazy cause I do not have one penny in bonds or RRSP's.

The other brother is best buddies with a financial planner who is anti PM's and holds a lot of tec stuff right now. He listens to this guy and right now he has him in about 15% exposer to resourse. With the acceptation of a couple of emerging market funds every thing I have is in resourses/PM's.

It is my retired parents that I worry most about. They are only 68 right now and have retired to horses on their farm. They have truly worked to darn hard to lose anything they have accumulated. The property they own would fetch more than they need to get them though but I would hate to see it come to that. They just have problems putting their trust into their kid who wokrs 50 hrs a week and takes care of his own investments on the side.
