Golden Minerals is a junior silver producer with a strong growth profile, listed on both the NYSE Amex and TSX.
It's just noise is right... the juniors are a bit depressing, but as someone said they really can't go much lower. Why would anyone in their right mind for instance short a stock which is already .20? Anyhow, they do.
Look there is some way that the trillions in hedges are making loads of cash in falling markets right? Think it's all shorting Google? No... the big gains are from shorting relatively illiquid markets regardless of the fundamentals behind the story of the stock. No other explanation could be feasibly possible when you look at the fact that you have a screen of 100 juniors in front of you and almost every one in the red every day while the underlying metal values rise day after day! Huh? In the end....
Who cares? Make some quick money on the standard liquid market or on commodity prices, use the incoming funds to buy more of this while it's a bargin... stir in a little patience and voila, eventually the news we're all awaiting appears. Either silver goes nuts until it's impossible to short the juniors, the juniors catch fire and the trend followers adjust their profiling, ECU releases an amazing 41-101, or Michael Roy and co make a big press release re: a huge mine start or JV. What's the downside? You think this stock is going the way of CNU? Me neither, that's why I sold it at .40 and bought more ECU. We know the story, we know the stats and we know where this is going... the reward for the DD will come. Until then, we can continue to keep each other company, shore up morale and continue to educate other buyers and long term holders.
I'm long baby- they will have to pry these things out of my cold dead hands! I'm actually half hoping this low value holds out till I finish my house and have some more liquid assets to invest! One things for sure, I ain't trading them for a new car... I want my own private island thanks :)
