Golden Minerals is a junior silver producer with a strong growth profile, listed on both the NYSE Amex and TSX.
Professor Lewis below sheds some light on Bernanke's jawboning from earlier today.
Even with $40 billion in REPOS, the DOW's triple digit fall could not be prevented. What horrendous vehicle sales data from the Big 3!!! Even more of a joke is GM's retreat from truck production, which was its only profitable market for the past few years. And now it is attempting to rush back into the small car market where it was effectively kicked out years ago by Toyota, Honda, and Nissan. Good luck. The Big 3 entered the automotive graveyard today.
Lastly, LEH dropped another 9.5% today and rumours are swirling that we might see another Sunday night FED session very soon.

Dollar bulls and Goldilocksters are pretty excited this morning after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke mentioned the greenback for the first time. "We are attentive to the implications of changes in the value of the dollar for inflation and inflation expectations, and will continue to formulate policy to guard against risks to both parts of our dual mandate, including the risk of an erosion in longer-term inflation expectations," he said. The dollar may bounce some since it's already in the middle of a bear market rally, but gold is unlikely to be fooled for long after having bottomed in early May. Even today, the dollar index is within 0.3% of its May peak, while gold remains some $35, or 4%, above its corresponding $850 low in May. |
