I think the management does care but in this environment one better have some spectatular news to satisfy us.
Not too long ago Osisko (TSX-OSK), as an example, put out a news release that was I presume ok by most but nothing spectacular. The price shot up a few cents at first than flopped back a few then went back and forth for a day or two but the net result was the same as if there were no news, imo.

Sometimes its those unique companies that get hit the hardest. Unique or not there is little that management can do unless the stock is seriously undervalued and the company has cash reserves for a stock buy back.
We all are grasping at straws hoping for some magic bullet that would solve our problems over night but that is not likely.
