Brazil produces more rice than it needs for it's own consumption. Logic means that they should curb exports to the extent that they only sell the surplus. By curbing all exports they contribute to a global shortage. With other countries doing the same no wonder there is a shortage, panic buying and riots.
How about north America doing same with grain. Middle east with oil?
This kind of thinking means the planet could be going to hell in a hand cart.
