Some have rules about investing only in producers, others only in over 500 million $ cap or only in liquidity, or what ever is the in thing of the day.
Some of these seem silly when the most important criteria should be best prospect for gain. Gain should trump all other rules, it is just common sense.
But is it fair to expect common sense from the market?
