A greedy land baron grown fat from the fruits of the labour of humble men who only seek to provide the necessities of life for their families, reaps a harvest of misery when his field-tenders starve while he gorges on the fruits of their labour. Abstinence of humanity or compassion for one's fellow human being has consenquences in this realm and in the one beyond most of our understanding.
